A top event for in-company material flow and computer-controlled processes from procurement to production and distribution in the heart of Europe.
Between 8 and 10 March 2016 international exhibitors and decision-makers from industry, trade and the service sector were coming together at the new exhibition centre at Stuttgart Airport to find new business partners. The focus was on innovative products, solutions and systems for procurement, warehouse, production and distribution logistics.
Why was the Logimat interesting?
We have visited the LogiMat in Stuttgart Wednesday last week. It’s one of the best and most focused trade shows for logistics and warehouse operations. We have seen lot’s of exhibitors with new and interesting offerings. Curious visitors who are willing to listen and talk to potential new partners and/ or suppliers. In particular we were looking for partner and sales contacts in Germany.

Time Matters. Time Optimization of the Entire Supply Chain. Transporting goods in time is a challenge: Disruptions in transport as well as information deficits are the biggest problems within logistics supply chains. Traffic jams or other unexpected impacts cause deviations from strategically planned routes and are the reasons that most pre-trip plans do not come true. Nowadays, changed predictions of arrival-times at the customer or unloading point are hardly shared among supply chain stakeholders. Therefore, trips cannot be rescheduled and optimised dynamically. As a result, congestion and long waiting times at the ramps as well as (rest-time) delays and contractual penalties are a daily occurrence.
Our Solution. We believe that the exact information about the estimated arrival time (ETA) of a transport and the real-time status en route are the basis to improve this situation. Therefore we have developed a product that optimises the entire supply chain dynamically by making it possible to share real-time information about the ETA of road freight from all supply chain participants – despite the use of proprietary systems and in an ongoing manner. This enables a fast and dynamic intervention in the process with the goal to raise efficiency and collaboration within the transportation chain.
